Jalandhar 31 August (Jaswinder Azad)- Eklavya School Jalandhar organized an educational tour for its Senior School students on 26th August 2016 to Sultanpur Lodhi and Kali Bein(The holy rivulet of great significance of Sikhism). The main purpose behind the visit was to aware the students about anti-river pollution campaign. The project started from an environmentalist Baba Balbir Singh Seechewal. Our students were inspired to see the courage of localist, how they transformed the place. The students were shown the documentary on the whole campaign by Seechewal School authorities. It really inspired them to take initiative for any task. They also visited the Gurudwara where the students did sewa in Langar and helped the followers in cleaning the hall.
Some students of class XII shared that how difficult it is to spare our own time for different people. Living for others is really an appreciating mission. Students of class IX shared they learned how to maintain cleanliness in our surroundings. We have to start from our home or from our school itself. They really appreciated the beautification of the river bank with trees.
Students were also taken to Sant Avtar singh Yadgari Technical Research Centre Where our students as well teachers were interviewed by the Radio Jockey. The talk show of teahers will be on air at (90.4 FM on 5th September in the morning as well in the evening. They were also taken to the Recycle Plant of Seechewal and were explained how the waste material and water is recycled for agriculture. It was a lesson for the students that nothing is impossible. If a person is dedicated and takes initiative for others one day the others also support and follow him.
Ms. Seema Handa Director Eklavya School, Ms Sapna Bakshi Eklavya School and Ms. Dimpal Sharma Principal Eklvya School had a talk with the students that awareness, urging people for positive change and being Eco-friendly is difficult task but not an impossible one.
