Jalandhar 31 August (Jaswinder Azad)- As the sun rose in the sky, participants of Student Welfare Association sworn in with burning dedication during an elaborative Investiture Ceremony at Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar. The SWA works for social and economic causes as well as lends administrative support during college functions. Dr. Sucharita, Principal of the College appreciated the efforts of the previous SWA teams and said that education is not merely imparting information, it is formation. She urged the students to take fruitful initiatives that would add grace and charm to the organization. Dr. Anjana Kumari, Dean, Student Welfare Association familiarized the gathering with the working of the SWA. She also introduced the new office bearers which comprised Head Boy Manwinder Singh, Head Girl Diksha Puri, Vice Head Boy Aakash Achreja and Vice Head Girl Rishabdeep Kaur and a team of General Secretaries, Joint Secretaries and Heads of the 10 committees such as Event Organization, Campus Committee, Discipline Committee, Library and Academics Committee, Canteen Committee, Placement and Counselling Committee etc. The Head Boy and Head Girl in their address promised to work with full dedication and commitment for their alma mater.
