Jalandhar 19 September (Jaswinder Azad)- Lucknow based organization Sangeet Milon held Vocal and Tabla Audition/Competition of Classical Voice of India 2016 at Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar with the intent of promoting Indian Classical Music, Culture and sustaining the interest of the younger generation. The age group in the competition ranges from 9 to 29 years and the topics covered were khayal and tabla. Two students of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar brought laurels to the institution by being selected for the Grand Finale from the North Zone. Shyam Singh, a student of B.Voc Sem. I of the College has been bestowed with the title of ‘Voice of Classical Music’ and Rajdeep, student of B.Voc. Sem. I won the title of Tabla Nawaz of Jalandhar. They have been invited to Lucknow for the grand finals which will commence from 16th December 2016. The students credited their achievement to the hard work of their teachers and the support of their family. Principal Dr. Sucharita congratulated the students on this glorious achievement and wished them luck for all future endeavours.
