Jalandhar 24 September (Jaswinder Azad)- The students of M.A Punjabi Sem-III, P.G. Department of Punjabi, Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar organized a Welcome Party for the fresher students of M.A Sem-I. Principal of the college, Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra was welcomed on this occasion by Prof. Gopal Singh Buttar with a bouquet of flowers. Students presented various entertainment laden activities such as modeling, dance, skit, singing, Gidha, Bhangra and fun games wherein Jaskaran and Paramjit Kaur were adjudged as Mr. and Miss Fresher respectively whereas Rajni, Rajwant Kaur and Kiranjot Kaur were also honored for their efforts. Speaking on the occasion, the Principal of the college, Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra mentioned the credentials of the department and motivated the students and urged them to work hard by following the footsteps of their worthy teachers. Prof. Kulwant Singh Sandhu, Head Department of Punjabi thanked Principal Dr. GS Samra for attending the colorful function and he also shared his views with the students encouraging them for better things in the near future. Stage was managed by Sukhwinder Singh a student of MA Sem-iii while Gurjit Kaur and Ranjit Kaur provided the judgment for various competitions held in the party.
