Phagwara 17 September (Jaswinder Azad)- The 3 days’ introductory workshop on Universal Human Values & Ethics (UHVE) was organized by IKG Punjab Technical University, Kapurthala at Ramgarhia Institute of Engineering & Technology (RIET), Phagwara from 15th -17th Sept. The participants of the workshop were teachers from host College. Dr. N.P Singh, Dean- Planning & Development, I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University graced the closing ceremony of the 3 days workshop as a chief guest. He expressed his values regarding the need of ethics in quality education in our education system. He shared that all of us need to work on it. We will have to start from our individual level and then from family to society to nature.
Dr. Vyoma Bhogal Dhatt, Director, RIET, Phagwara welcomed the Chief Guest of the event Dr. N P Singh and University officials. She expressed her gratitude for organizing such a valuable workshop for teachers and students as this workshop leads to a conducive environment in the institution.
Dr Naveen Dhillon, Principal RIET, shared vote of thanks to chief guest Dr N P Singh and Dr S S Walia, director IRC-UHVE for collaborating with the college for enhancement of the faculty members and assured to provide a supportive environment for taking steps towards developing value education laced with values and ethics. Mr. Jitender Narula, Assistant Registrar IRC-UHVE, IKG PTU was the key note speaker for the workshop. He summarised the 3 day sessions by highlighting the essence of human values and ethics in life.
