Jalandhar 13 September (Jaswinder Azad)- The department of History organised a Freshers party 'Khusham Deed ' where students of MA II welcomed students of first year .The welcome party was a much awaited affair for the seniors and juniors as well. The Principal Dr B.B Sharma graced the occasion. The party started with the welcome address to MA I students by Ravinder, student of MAII. She congratulated them for choosing the best college and motivated the students to achieve heights under the guidance of dedicated and best faculty. The comperes of the function were Ravinder, Diksha, Sukhbir and Navjot.
Spectacular dances were preformed by Pawan, Shabnam, Daljit , Navjot , Diksha and Sukhbir. Beautiful songs were sung by Rahul, student of MAI . Ravinder recited her poem 'Asha Ki Kiran' and the whole ambience was filled with enthusiasm and spirit. The programme's highlight was the games which the seniors played with their juniors . Modelling was the special attraction where "Rahul" and "Shallu" were adjudged Mr and Miss Fresher .
Later Principal Dr BB Sharma and Department head Dr Rakesh Sharma gave their blessings. Principal sir motivated them to clear IAS or PCS as History forms the basic subject for these exams . He was wonder struck by the multi talented students of MA II .Dr Rakesh Sharma asked the students to inculcate the habit of reading books which in the long run would help them to be successful in life . All the faculty members Dr Rakesh Sharma , Dr Kiranjit Randhawa,Prof Asha ,Prof Vipin, Prof Manoj Kumar, Prof Raj Kumar, Prof Neetu Sharma and Prof Protima were present to give their well wishes to the students. Prabhjot of MA I thanked her seniors for organising such a wonderful party for them. The party finally ended with scrumptious lunch.
