Jalandhar 22 September (Jaswinder Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- The Heritage Institution, Jalandhar where both practical & theoretical methods are always employed for academic progression, both unconventional and conventional modes of education are also used sparingly for educational purpose. Keeping in sync with this tradition the Dept. of Punjabi and ECA jointly organized a theatre workshop recently. The main resource person for the same was Dr. Pali Bhupinder a famous theatre artist from Dept. of Theatre, Punjab University, Chandigarh, under the theme of Me& My Creation. Dr. Pali addressed the student gathering and talked to them about his literary & creative journey. He talked of experiences and episodes in life which determine one’s future and give it a definite shape. Talking about his own discovery of his literary tastes early in life, he said that it was his personal experience that literature gives one a true glimpse of human life. According to him literary creations raised such questions that paved way for creative discourses. He observed that the present system of education is just promoting literary and creating job opportunities. During the practical second session, students displayed the various nuances of theatre and acted in a very interesting way. Students showed exemplary enthusiasm in both learning & participation. The session ended with a fruitful way where various questions were answered satisfactorily. Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated both the Department of Punjabi and ECA for having organized such a fruitful workshop, which she observed was sure to instill creativity in all those who had participated in it.
