CT Music Society enthralls audience at Red Carpet Concert held at CT Group of Institutions

  • The CONCERT was also a fund raiser event for the differently able Kids of 'PRAYAS​  SCHOOL​' which is an orphanage. 
  • Besides CT Group students’ any Music Lover can learn musical techniques from the society.
  • African students sung and won applauds for their version of “Patiala Peg’ and “Laden” song.
Jalandhar 23 September (Jaswinder Azad)- CT Music Society enthralled a packed audience at the Sardarni Manjit Kaur Auditorium, Shahpur Campus under the patronage of CT Group of Institutions with their renditions of Indian music, Punjabi songs and the foot-tapping at Red Carpet concert on Friday. The main aim of the event was to promote music as global entity. The CONCERT was also a fund raiser event for the differently able Kids of 'PRAYAS​  SCHOOL​' which is an orphanage based at Jalandhar. Our first ever concert is dedicated to this noble cause.
More than 2000 esteemed personalities, guests and students were gathered in the auditorium to enjoy the music festival. The students from Zambia, Malawi, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Nepal, Sri Lanka & Tanzania) and states of India (Mizoram, Sikkim, U.P, Bihar & Punjab) also gathered at the event. The main attractions of the events were Bhangra by the African Students. Bamboo dance and Sarlamkai a traditional dance of North east west also attracted the audience. There was tremendous Solo Drum playing by Daniel Ngoma (Dnoy). The drum sticks were emitting fire and seen was as beautiful as it charmed the audience. There were Western Songs performances, Cypher, Hip Hop Pop by International Students and others.
Mr. Manbir Singh (Managing Director, CT Group of Institutions) took special interest in grooming and teaching Punjabi language to the students. He said, “CT Music Society is serving and teaching music to the volunteers. The members of the society are teaching about the technicalities of music and its instruments.” He further informed that Latest Punjabi Song “Laden” originally sung by Renowned Punjabi Star Jassi Gill is winning applauds now days, but this time it is because of its diverse and English Version presented by CT Music Society. The song was shot by CT Group of Institutions in association with Speed Records in which it is interesting and heartwarming to watch this video as these students don’t speak or understand Punjabi, but these students in the institutions presented the new flavour of Punjabi music.
S. Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman, CT Group of Institutions) said, “The donations collected from the event will be given for the welfare for the deprived residents of Prayas School.” For CT Music Society, he said, “It was the passion of the students that made us fulfill their dreams. The students had the caliber and technique of singing and playing musical instruments. We just pushed them, provided them all the musical instruments, boost their confidence and encourage them to perform. Now, with their performance they are winning laurels for them, their family, their country and for our institutions as well. This concert showcased efforts and they performed absolutely stunning.” The song was uploaded at YouTube in a week and showcased by the African Students, the song also has Jassi Gill with his Lead Companion from the Original Song, Himanshi Khurana as something to watch the video for.  Their first Song, Patiala Peg also won accolades. At the event Famous Singers, Wada Grewal and Armaan Bedil gave LIVE Performance at the event.
