A literary function was organized by the Lyallpur Khalsa College

Jalandhar 15 October (Jaswinder Azad)- A literary function was organized by the Center for Migration Studies, Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar. Overseas Punjabi Writer Santokh Singh Bhullar and his wife Kanwaljit Kaur Bhullar were the chief guests on this ocaasion. Dr. Sukhdev Singh Nagra, Coordinator, Center for Migration Studies welcomed the guests while Dr. Gopal Singh Buttar informed the audiences about the accomplishments of the chief guests. College Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra appreciated the arrival of chief guests and conveyed the same sentiments about the efforts made by the Center for Migration Studies regarding this initiative. Prof. Harjinder Singh Sekhon from the Department of Punjabi presented his paper based on a book composed by the chief guest.Overseas Writer Santokh Singh Bhullar shared his valuable views with the audiences and also answered the queries regarding Punjabi Literature put forth by the audience and particularly by students present in the audience. He also stressed the fact that being an immigrant with good quality education and proper skills is essential in today’s world. Dr. Kulwant Singh Sandhu, Head, PG Department of Punjabi also presented his views on overseas literature and also put forth the vote of thanks. The occasion was also witnessed by College Registrar Prof. Jasreen Kaur, Head, Department of English, Prof. Manpreet Kaur Head, Department of Political Science, Prof. Suman Chopra Head, Department of History and other members of the faculty.
