At DAV College premises, NCC, Red Ribbon Club and Youth Services Department organised a blood donation camp

Jalandhar 4 October (Jaswinder Azad)- At DAV College premises, NCC, Red Ribbon Club and Youth Services Department organised a blood donation camp. 72 college students have donated blood in the camp, of which more than 20 students donated blood for the first time. DAV College organized the camp, which is very remarkable. College staff was present in the blood donation camp. The college staff also donated blood. It was organized by NCC, NSS-and Youth Club jointly. Camp organizers arranged fruits, coffee and  biscuits for the blood donors.The chief guest of the programme was the city’s civil surgeon Rajiv Bhalla and Capt IS Dhami (Youth Service Punjab) are. Approximately 72 units of blood were collected in the camp.
Principal Dr. BB Sharma encouraged the donours by telling that blood donation is not a small donation it is a very big donation.  It could save someone's precious life, Could light a family’s lamp, and could give happiness to a family. it is a matter of pride for the students of DAV College of this great work and their cooperation. On the occasion, Dr. Sharma said that blood donation is known as a huge donation. Accidents are happened almost daily in our Country. therefore inflated by donating blood in the hospital, which is provided to the patient at the time the blood is attained accident. Imposed under this unprecedented enthusiasm of the students were in camp.
Civil Surgeon Dr Rajiv Bhalla inaugurated the camp. Chief guest on the occasion, said that there are a lot of misconceptions related to blood donation but they are not true. Whenever anyone donates blood it also inspires others for the same. I would like to overcome those fears. After donating blood there is no weakness in the body of any kind. The doctors of Civil Hospital on the occasion checked the haemoglobin of the students before they donated blood. Girls and boys alike, doctors said could donate blood.
Capt IS Dhami encouraged the students to take part in such good deeds. Pro. S. K. Midda appreciated  this great service of the students and the work of the spirit among them he also said that any healthy person over 18 can donate blood. They give blood before and after giving blood for all sorts of things, attention should be informed about this.
Finally, Prof Midda Thanked the civil surgeon, BTO Gagandeep Singh, their team and the blood donors. The students were given certificates and badges. Many students donated blood for the first time. Many students expressed their resolve to donate blood for the needy. On the occasion, Prof.. SK Midha NSS coordinator, youth coordinator Prof naresh Sharma, Leftinant Sameer Sharma (Army), Maj SK Tuli (charge NCC Army), Prof.kanvljit Singh, Prof. Pradeep Kaur, Prof. Gagandeep Kaur and Darshan Singh (HDFC Bank) in particular were present.
