Jalandhar 23 October (Jaswinder Azad)- The Departments of Applied Art, Design and Fine Arts of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar collaboratively organized a Diwali Mela from 21st October to 23rd October 2016 which concluded today. There was an atmosphere of great zest and excitement as the students exhibited the furniture made by them on the last day of the Mela. Architects Mr. Davinder Pal and Ms. Shruti Kapoor from Jalandhar and Mr. Vishal and Mona from Amritsar graced the occasion and greatly appreciated the efforts of the students.
Principal Dr. Sucharita remarked that the work done by the students is a symbol of Indian Art and Culture but with a modern touch. Such efforts by the students keep youth connected to their roots and provides them with boundless energy and a positive direction.
