Jalandhar 2 October (Jaswinder Azad)- As a part of the birth anniversary celebrations of Mahatma Gandhi, an essay writing competition was organized today in the college in which students wrote essays on the life and teachings of the father of nation. Organised by the P.G. Department of History of the college the event had the participation of over 40 students. The first position was won by Ravi Kant and Jaskaran Singh, second and third positions were won by Shiv Kumar Sharma and Bhupinder Kaur respectively. Principal Dr. G.S. Samra said that such events were highly useful for the students and also for the society. The College Registrar Prof. Jasreen Kaur awarded prizes to the winners. Vote of thanks on the occasion was presented by Dr. Suman Chopra, Head of the Department. Dr. Aamandeep Kaur, Dr. Karanbir Singh, Dr. Kulnaz Kaur and Prof. Sandeep Kumar also present on this occasion.
