K.M.V. Students Attend ICAI Delhi 'Career Counseling' Workshop

Jalandhar 26 October (Jaswinder Azad)- At Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar - The heritage institution, empowering young women with economic independence is a major goal to fulfill the goal various events are organized from time to time. Recently P.G. Dept. of Commerce and Business Administration Organised a one-day workshop on "Career Counselling" conducted by Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI), which is the second largest institute  in the world in the field of management accounting. The resource person for the same were Mr. T.K. Dubey (Career Counselling Co-ordinator, NIRC),  Mr. A. P. Car (CMA) and Ms. Reetika Arora also (CMA).According floral welcome to the guests Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi welcomed all the distinguished guests to K.M.V. Asserting  the significance of career counseling in today's world of increasing competition she hoped that the workshop would go a long way in making the young women who attend it successful entrepreneurs.
Mr. A.P. Kar also in his address to the students signified the role career counseling could play at this stage of life. He mentioned and elaborated on  the career options which these students could Undertake soon after 10+2 and graduation. He explained and talked about various foundation and intermediate courses in cost and management accounting. he also stressed upon the requirements of a successful career  in cost & management accounting and the various job roles  available for freshers in this field. This gave the students important insights on starting a career in this highly competitive field.
500 enthusiastic volunteers attended the workshop and interacted with the various resource persons. They were briefed about the various opportunities, roles and career paths available in the field. Ms. Reetika who briefed the students about the CMA course encouraged them to join it.
Dr. Neeraj Maini, Head Dept. of Commerce & Business Administration thanked all the distinguished  resource persons & guests for having spared  time for this fruitful interaction. Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated the faculty of the P.G. Dept. of Commerce on the successful organization of the workshop.
