Non-Teaching employees protested against government

Jalandhar 7 October (Jaswinder Azad)- A dharna by Non-Teaching employees of DAV College, Doaba College under the directions of Private College Non-Teaching Employees Union, Punjab (Aided & Unaided).  The union demands raised by state president Mr. Madan Lal Khullar and he asked that their long pending demands have not been fulfilled by the Punjab Govt. as the Non-Teaching Employees of Govt. Colleges had been granted revised pay grade w.e.f. 1st December, 2011 but the Non-teaching employees of the aided college is waiting for the notification.  He also condemned the attitude of the Punjab Govt. in this regard.
On dharna Mr. Rama Shanker Tiwari, President Doaba College unit said that the notification of Punjab Govt. regarding recruitment of Non-Teaching Employees is also not upto the mark as the posts of Class IV employees and Superintendent, Electrician, Steno etc. have not been mentioned in the said notification which is also shameful attitude of the govt.  He also appealed the government to accept their genuine demands i.e. notification of enhanced medical allowance and house rent w.e.f. 01/08/2009, Leave Encashment, implementation of 4:9:14 step up increment, Service Security Act, CCA, Rural Allowance, Pension & Gratuity to the aided colleges of the state. On this occasion, DAV College Unit president Manav Rakhra, Secretary Ram Chander, Nathu Ram, Sansar Chand, Narinder Ninda, Ravinder Kalia,  Doaba College Unit Secretary Daler Singh, R.P. Yadav were also present.
