Jalandhar 15 November (Jaswinder Azad)- A seminar on the occasion of National Press Day will be held in the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, GNDU Regional Campus, at Ladhewali on November 16, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. onwards. The seminar is being jointly organized by the Department of Journalism & Mass Communication and Punjab & Chandigarh Journalist Union. Dr Namarta Joshi, Head of the Department, giving this information said that Ms. Shabina Inderjit-Vice President of International Federation of Journalist, Dr Navjit Johl- Former Head, Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Punjabi University, Patiala and other journalists will grace the occassion. Dr. (Professor) Kamlesh Singh Duggal will deliver the key-note address on “The National Press Day”, while other dignitaries like Mr Balwinder Singh Jammu – President of Punjab & Chandigarh Journalist Association, Mr Pritam Singh Rupaal – General Secretary of Punjab & Chandigarh Journalist Association, Mr Jatinder Pannu-Editor of Nawan Zamana and Mr Balbir Singh Jhandu-Former News Editor, Punjabi Tribune, will also talk about the significance of this day and challenges before journalism today.
