The closing ceremony of 7 day NSS Camp organized by HMV

Jalandhar 25 December (Jaswinder Azad)- The NSS unit of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya organizes seven days special camp in the village Gakhal.  In the spectacular concluding function of the camp, the certificate and prize distribution function was held under the superintended of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen.  On the event, Prof. Lakhbir Singh, Chairman of Pahal organization, graced the function with his worthy presence as guest of honour.  The chief guest praised the social work that was done by the volunteers and inspired them to develop the qualities of leadership by discovering the latent potential. The volunteers undertook the various cleanliness task under Swachh Bhart Abhiyan. They whitewashed the tree trunks, painted inspiring slogans.  During this camp, the school girls got knowledge about various career oriented courses through the sessions held at School by faculty members of HMV. Madam Principal expressed her great delight by praising the efforts of NSS volunteers. She motivated the students to take part in social activities and emphasized the dignity of labour. She encouraged the youth to participate enthusiastically in the process of national development and she also emphasized on major issues like women empowerment. On this occasion, the eminent personalities Mr. Mahinder Singh (Sarpanch, Vill. Gakhal), Mr. Jagit Singh (Vice Principal, Govt. Sr. Sec. School, Gakhal), Mr. Pappu Gakhal, Mr. Jaspal Singh (Chairman, School Managing Committee) graced the function with their worthy presence.  Mr. Kulwinder Singh Gakhal (Reputed Teacher of Govt. Sr. Sec. School) has given his special contribution for the successful accomplishment of this NSS Camp. In this camp, the NSS volunteers expressed their personality and talent in cultural programme activities. The performance of the volunteers during the camp was remarkable.  The folk song was presented by Kanupriya and Diksha. Amisha amazed everyone with her performance in mimicry. The sound message to save the precious water was through the street play performed by NSS volunteers. The report of the camp was presented by the programme officer Mrs. Veena Arora and she expressed her great gratitude to all who were directly and indirectly attached to this camp. The stage was conducted by Sapna. The prizes were given away to the volunteers for their best efforts and Rajwinder Kaur was declared as the Best Camper. The poster making competition was also held. The number of student volunteers participated in it was 100 and they worked gracefully under the supervision of the programme officer Mrs. Kuljit Kaur Athwal and Mrs. Veena Arora.  On this occasion Ms. Harmanu Paul, Ramandeep Kaur, Prabhjot Kaur, Rashmi Sethi were also present.
