Eklavya School celebrated Martin Luther King’s Day

Jalandhar 21 January (Gurkirat Singh)- Eklavya School celebrated Martin Luther King’s Day. The hope to celebrate this day that children would learn something about why Martin Luther king day is a national holiday. The other objective to celebrate this day was  more on the things doing in a right and peaceful manner. Students highlighted in the assembly by reciting a mantra- If it is to be, it is up to me. Students of 7-8 std. were divided into teams and they did research on King’s life and accomplishments. The groups gave  presentations that highlight key events in King's life and in the lives of other pivotal people of the era. School Manager Ms. Sapna Bakshi highlighted the message given through speech that he believed people should not be judged by the color of their skin; instead, they should be judged by the content of their character. "Our school carries out that mission by meeting the academic needs of our students and actively encouraging them to apply their knowledge in meaningful ways. The School Principal, Ms. Dimpal Sharma suggested all to display peace and equality among each other in a learning situation. Ms Seema Handa, director Eklavya School  suggested to conduct such activities to enhance the knowledge.
