Two day Conference on ‘Concerns & Challenges of Diaspora’ at HMV

Jalandhar 25 January (Jaswinder Azad)- Faculty of Languages of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya under the able and dynamic guidance of Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen are organizing two days Conference on ‘Concerns & Challenges of Diaspora’ on 27th – 28th January, 2017.  Padam Shree Dr. Surjit Patar will be the chief guest.  Sh. Ajaib Singh Chatha, Chairman World Punjabi Conference, Dr. Dalbir Dhillon, Director World Punjabi Centre, Patiala and Dr. Satish Kumar Verma, Punjabi Deptt., Punjabi Univ., Patiala will be the Guest of Honour.  Sh. Raj Shekhar Attri, Distt. & Sessions Judge will preside over the inaugural session.  Prof. Rana Nayar from Punjabi Univ. Chandigarh will present keynote address.
In the two day conference, Shiromani Kahankaar, Dr. S.P. Singh, Ex. Vice Chancellor, GNDU Amritsar, Prof. Usha Bande, Ex. Principal HP, Shiromani Punjabi Kavi, Dr. Sarabjit Kaur Sohal, President of Punjab Sahit Academy, Chandigarh, Dr. Indu Verma, Director, Doordarshan Jalandhar, Dr. Gurupdesh, Professor GNDU will be present.  The conveners of the conference are Dr. Adarsh Khanna, Mrs. Kawaljit Kaur.  Mrs. Ramnita Saini Sharda is the Organizing Secretary. Conference will bring together eminent scholars.  More than 120 papers in 8 parallel technical sessions will be presented in 2 days.  Delegates from various countries will be attending the conference.
