Jalandhar 23 February (Jaswinder Azad)- At Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- The Heritage Institution, Jalandhar donated warm clothes, blankets and things of utility for the underprivileged strata of society. The clothes collected by the students were lauded over to Goonj-an NGO which is equally awake to the cause of social awareness. Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi lauded the venture of Dept. of Student Welfare headed by Dr. Madhumeet. She averred that KMV not only strives for academic excellence of its wards but is also making keen endeavours for making students socially awake plulauthropists. Institutions like Kanya Maha Vidyalaya have played a pivotal role in taking substantial steps in the upliftment of the lesser privileged strata of society ever since to inception way back in 1886. The students of KMV are very spirited in responding to social and environmental issues. During this particular venture the students accompanied by teachers visited the Goonj-Office and lauded over the woolen stuff to Mrs. Neena Sondhi who is a committed social activist.
