Jalandhar 4 March (Jaswinder Azad)- Eklavya School celebrated National Defence Day to salute the real heroes of our country. In the assembly the students were explained about the cadets of the three forces- The Army, Navy and Air force. They were told that the cadets of all the three services are trained together before they go on pre-commissioning training. The Prime minister of India Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru laid the foundation stone for ‘National Defence Academy’ on 6th October 1949 with a view to provide requisite educational standards, acquire mental and physical qualities essential for the fighting officers. They were shown video on “ National Defence Day. A beautiful collage was also made by kids. The Chairman Mr. J.K.Gupta, Director Ms. Seema Handa, Manager Ms. Sapna Bakshi and the Principal Ms. Dimpal Sharma also explained the students that our Army people devote their whole life in the service of their country. So we all should salute our nation builders.
