Jalandhar 8 March (Jaswinder Azad)- The Women Empowerment Cell of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya celebrated International Women’s Day in the campus. The students of Psychology department of the college presented a Nukkad Natak ‘Khud Ki Khoj’ depicting the problems faced by the women. In addition, a cafe in IT Block ‘Quick Bites’ was also inaugurated. The inauguration was done by PG and UG Head Girls, Ms. Rajwinder and Ms. Richa.
Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen appreciated the efforts of Psychology department for the presentation of Nukkad Natak ‘Khud Ki Khoj’. In this Nukkad Natak, the women issues have been highlighted by the students. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen said that the inauguration of cafe by Head Girls of the college is a symbol of women empowerment. On this occasion, Incharge of Women Empowerment Cell Dr. Ashmeen Kaur, Member Mrs. Kuljeet Kaur, Dean Academics Mrs. Meenakshi Syal, all the members of teaching & non-teaching staff and students were present.
