Students were the guests of President
Jalandhar 20 March (Jaswinder Azad)- Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, the most prestigious college of North India, created history with one more feather in its cap. The students of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya had an interaction with Hon’ble His Excellency President of India Sh. Pranab Mukherjee, under the able guidance of Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. They were welcomed in Rashtrapati Bhawan as guests of the President. The students spent quality time with the President of India. Principal Prof. Dr. Ajay Sareen felicitated the President with bouquet of flowers. She also presented a painting made by the Fine Arts students of the college to President of India. Hon’ble President of India Sh. Pranab Mukherjee greeted the students and said “Welcome to Rashtrapati Bhawan”. He also appreciated the efforts of DAV institutions in the field of education. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen, staff members and students had a group photograph with the Hon’ble President of India. The students were welcomed in Rashtrapati Bhawan as guests of the President. President Sh. Pranab Mukherjee directed his staff members to show every corner of Rashtrapati Bhawan to the students. As per his directions, the students were taken on a tour of Rashtrapati Bhawan. Ashoka Hall, Darbar Hall, Library, Marble House, NDR, LDR, Exhibition Room, Conference Room were shown to the students. The main attraction of this visit was Mughal Garden which was specially opened for the students. During this visit, some very interesting facts about Rashtrapati Bhawan were told to the students.
On this occasion, the elated Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen said that with this visit of students to Rashtrapati Bhawan and an interaction with him, one more golden feather has been added in the cap of HMV. During this visit, Dr. Rajiv Kumar from Political Science department and Mrs. Rama Sharma from Mass Communication department also accompanied the students. The students were also feeling honoured to meet the President of India.

Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen also thanked Mr. Yogesh Kumar, P.A. to Hon’ble President, Sh.
