Jalandhar 27 March (Jaswinder Azad)- At Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar, International Design Week was organized from February 28 to March 5, 2017 where students from the department of Applied Art, Fine Arts, Multimedia and Design participated enthusiastically and prepared beautiful projects on the concept of Smart City. The students visited various places of Jalandhar and rigorously collected the information to make these projects. They also visited the slum areas of Jalandhar. They prepared projects on poignant themes like pollution, traffic congestion, green cover, better infrastructure, garbage disposal. Students also prepared videos highlighting the major problems faced by the people of Jalandhar and some measures to stop them. Today, Sh. Sunil Jyoti, Mayor, Jalandhar, Municipal Commissioner, Sh. Gurpreet Singh Khehra visited Apeejay College where they interacted with students and watched the various videos and projects prepared by the students and said that they are happy that the younger generation is also contributing towards the development of the City. Principal, Dr. Sucharita also lauded the efforts of the students.
