Jalandhar 12 April (Gurkirat Singh)- M.Com Part 1 of D.A.V College, Jalandhar organised a farewell party "Jashn-E-Rukhsat" for their seniors. The day was dedicated to all the glorious moments spent by the outgoing students with their Teachers, friends and juniors. The Chief Guest of the event was Principal Dr.S.K Arora who have been welcomed by Vice Principal and H.O.D Prof.V.K Sareen, President Commerce Forum Dr Rajwant Kaur, and Prof.Rajiv Sharma. The event had a pious start with Gayatri Mantra and lamp lighting , with this Prof.V.K Sareen welcomed all at the farewell party. Prof.V.K Sareen conveyed his best wishes to the final year students and motivated them to perform well for their final examinations. Principal Dr.S.K Arora blessed the students. He said that commerce has a vast scope with many glorious opportunities. He said that one must be hard working, determined, passionate, confident to gain something in life. He motivated all the students to reach the heights and to be successful in their lives ahead. Stage have been conducted by Saloni,Neeti and Naina. Then the first Bhangra performance entertained all the gathering. Everyone was enjoying the bhangra beats. Secondly western dance performance by Kavita on "tenu kaala chashma" won the hearts of the audience. Madhur and Nikita Nagpal shared their college memories through a power point presentation. They recalled all the moments spent in the college. They said this moment is not to say good bye rather it's a moment to promise your teachers that we'll definitely work harder to achieve heights, to raise the name of their college,their country and their family. This Power point presentation made everyone emotional. The most attractive contest of the event was Modelling in which there were Three Rounds. 1st round was Ramp Walk Round, in the 2nd round contestants Introduction was held and then shortlisted contestants entered the 3rd round where questions were asked to each of them and they answered very smartly. The best performance have been given by M.Com 1 students.They presented a Skit and also thanked their seniors for being supportive always. It was an emotional moment. Neha gave a singing performanc. Shruti gave a powerful dance performance. Manpreet's kathak performance was so soulful and was liked by everyone. At the end the song "Eh Din College Vich Guzre" again turned the atmosphere to little sad and emotional. Dr.Rajwant Kaur presented a Thanks note thanking all. Final performance have been given by Saanjh bhangra group and a vibe was happiness have been brought up in the entire hall. The other members who were present at the event were Vice Principal Prof.V.K Sareen, PRO Prof Manish Khanna Prof.Naveen Saini, Prof.Ashok Kapoor, Prof.Amit Jain, Prof.Manish Arora, Prof.Naveen Sood, Prof.Isha, Prof.Ekjot, Prof.Rajiv Sharma, Prof.Nidhi, Prof Manav Aggarwal.
