Jalandhar 18 April (Jaswinder Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- the Heritage Institution, Jalandhar’s Readers’ Club organized a multi-lingual book review session in which 40 students presented reviews of the books recently read by them. The books ranged from fiction to poetry. Some students also made power point presentations on their observations of various important points and passages / comments in the books. The reviews were very interesting and informative. The audience felt that the reviews of the books have acquainted them more about the books in question and had made them more interested in reading these books. Mrs. Seema Jain, Head, Department of English, Dr. Vinod Kalra, Head, Department of Hindi and Dr. Deepika, PG Dept. of English were the judge for the same. Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi presented a review of Tess by Thomas Hardy and exhorted the students to befriend books as they not only provide wisdom to human beings but also play a pivotal role in making us better human being. She congratulated Dr. Madhumeet, Dean, Student Welfare, Dr. Neetu Chopra, Mrs. Rashmi Sharma, Ms. Gurline for organizing a very wonderful actively. She also appreciated the Readers’ Club for always organizing activities to make students fall in love with books. She also lauded the students who were flawlessly running the self generated library under the aegis of Readers’ Club.
