Jalandhar 27 May (Gurkirat Singh)- Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar’s student, Gurkaranbir Singh, of Multimedia Department got rewarded for his film ‘Hari Ke Patan’. This film was selected for the International Film Festival Universtaire International Cine: Letter D’ Agadic which had run from 18th May to 20th May 2017 at Morocco (North Africa). Gurkaranbir Singh had made the film ‘Hari Ke Patan’ based on the river Harike Patan which is in Tarn Taran. Basically the movie is based on the plights faced by people during 1990 to 1995 in which the inhumanity of people and carelessness of officers has been depicted. The movie which depicts the imagination of once a reality was the only film from India which got rewarded. Sharing his experience, Gurkaranbir Singh said that there were other 20 countries as well which had participated in this festival and he felt immense pleasure to represent his country on International lands and felt proud to see his country’s flag there. Principal Dr. Sucharita congratulated him on his achievement and wished him all the luck and success in the future.
