Jalandhar 30 August (Jaswinder Azad)- With an initiative to provide best of the job opportunities to the Polytechnic Students, Punjab Government organized a Mega Job Fest under their Ghar Ghar Naukri Scheme. On Wednesday, more than 850 students participated while 34 companies gathered.The event was organised under the supervision of District Administration and District Bureau of Employment Generation and Training, Jalandhar and others. The event was inaugurated by S. Charanjit Singh Channi (Cabinet Minister of Technical Education & Industrial Training, Punjab), S. Pargat Singh (MLA, Jalandhar Cantonment), Sh. Varinder Sharma, IAS (Deputy Commissioner, Jalandhar), S. Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman, CT Group), Mr. Manbir Singh (Managing Director, CT Group) and Mr. Harpreet Singh (Vice Chairman, CT Group) in the presence of other dignitaries, members of the management, staff, faculty and students. After which, companies started the recruitment process including Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
S. Charanjit Singh Channi (Cabinet Minister of Technical Education & Industrial Training, Punjab) said that the Job Fests has been organized across Punjab for which 900 companies are selected to participate. He said, “Honourable Chief Minister, Capt. Amarinder Singh has assured to provide jobs to every job seeking individual. After providing jobs, youngsters will he enrolled under Skill Development Courses so that they must have the required skills and technical knowledge for the leading jobs in the industry.”
S. Pargat Singh (MLA, Jalandhar Cantonment) said that Punjab Government is providing job opportunities and jobs to the youngsters so that they can achieve the goals of their life. He also wished them good luck for the future.
S. Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman, CT Group) said that Punjab Government has been doing a commendable job by organizing such valuable job fairs for providing better opportunities to the students and to curb the problem of unemployment. He said that CT Group also works on the path to provide best of the career opportunities to the youngsters for those job fests has been organized in the different parts of the country including Punjab, Himachal, Bihar, Jammu & Kashmir. He wished the students good luck for their future.
Ms. Sanjeeda Beri (Deputy Director, District Bureau of Employment Generation and Training, Jalandhar) and Mr. Abhishek Soni (Deputy Director of Centre of Career Planning and Counseling at CT Group) were present at the event among other dignitaries.
