Jalandhar 7 September (Jaswinder Azad)- Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar organized Investiture Ceremony for the students of SWA (Student Welfare Association). Through an interview, Head Boy, Head Girl, Vice Head Boy, Vice Head Girl, General Secretary, Joint Secretary and Treasurer were selected. All these students and other 200 students who were the part of SWA were given badges. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Sucharita opined that our purpose is not just to intimate students with the textual and theoretical aspects but to make them an expert in the practical aspects of the worldliness as well and at the same time telling them the importance of organization skills, team work and moral values. SWA provides the students that platform which helps them in developing and grooming their skills and personality.
Dr. Manisha and Dr. Monika Arora, Dean SWA introduced the various committees of SWA which are cultural committee, canteen committee, event organizer, discipline, sport, alumni etc. and said that though the member of SWA constitutes only 10% of the college students but they guide the right path to other students
Head Boy, Ashutosh Chibber during his speech told his young audience about his development in the college. He told them how with the opportunities provided by the College, he has today developed self confidence in him and encouraged them to use the same and opportunities to groom themselves. On the other hand, Head Girl, Divya Uppal told her young audience about the importance of team work. She emphasized that only through team work our dreams could be achieved. There is never one person behind any success but the efforts of whole team leads one on the successful path. Principal Dr. Sucharita congratulated the whole team on the success of occasion.
