KMV organizes an extension lecture on Experience of Parliamentry Democrac-A Comparative study of India & Punjab

Jalandhar 1 September (Jaswinder Azad)- Department of Political Science of Kanya Maha Vidyalaya-the Heritage Institution Jalandhar organized an extension lecture on Experince of Parliamentry Democracy-A comparative study of India and Punjab. The resource Person was Dr. Jagroop Singh Sekhon (Head, Department of Political Science, GNDU, Amritsar). The guest speakers on the occasion were Dr. B.B. Sharma (Head, Dept of Political Science, DAV College, Jalandhar). Dr. Rajan (Dept of Political Science, Doaba College Jalandhar) and Dr. Dinesh Arora (DAV College, Jalandhar). 100 students of KMV attended  this lecture. Dr. Jagroop Singh in his discource said that people's faith in democratic institutions is intact. India is moving from coorperative federalism to centralization and  GST is its example. He then discussed about linkage Politics, Dalit Politics and Dera culture. Talking about the upcoming lok sabha elections in 2019 Dr. Sehhon said that the farmers issue can emerge as a major issue.The discouse was fellowed by an interactive session in which the students participated actively. During the interactive session Dr. B.B Sharma, Dr. Rajan and Dr. Dinesh presented their observations.The Principal of KMV Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated the students and the Dept. of Political Science for successfully orgnised the event. Mrs. Ashima Sahni (Head, Dept of Political Science) extended Vote of thanks. Mrs. Richa Sharma and Mrs. Ramanpreet Kaur were present in the occasion.
