Jalandhar 7 September (Jaswinder Azad)- In an attempt to enhance the technical and competitive skills of students, Department of Computer Science and Information Technology, Lyallpur Khalsa College organized Quiz and Online Test Competitions in which 254 students from various academic disciplines like Computer Science, Journalism & Mass Communication, Multimedia and Printing Technology tested their skills in basics of Computer Science. In Tech Test-I, the first, second and third position bagged by Hemraj, Anmol and Shweta of BCA-I respectively whereas in Tech Test II, Lovepreet Singh, Manpreet Singh and Tarundeep Singh of B.Sc. IT Sem-III scored the top three positions. In Tech Test-III, Rahul Rai (BDM Sem-III), Pallavi (BMM Sem-V) and Amandeep (BDM Sem-III) attained first, second and third positions respectively. In combined quiz for all the classes, students of BCA Sem-I scored maximum marks and grabbed first position followed by students of B.Sc IT Sem-III and B.Sc IT Sem-V, who remained at second and third positions. Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra Principal, Lyallpur Khalsa College congratulated the winners and motivated other participants for their participation in such competitions with more enthusiasm. Dr. Manohar Singh, Head of the Department, CS & IT thanked the College for its full support towards organization of such competitions and appreciated the role of faculty members in making such events successful. The quiz was conducted by Prof. Daljit Kaur and Prof. Jaspreet Kaur Bains and duty of scoring was performed by Prof. Sandeep Kaur Kalsi and Prof. Karamjit Kaur from department of CS and IT. Prof. Sanjeev Anand, Prof. Sandeep kaur Bassi, Prof. Baldev Singh, Prof. Manpreet Singh, Prof. Sandeep Singh, Prof. Mandeep Bhatia, Prof. Gagandeep Singh and other faculty members were also present at the occasion.
