Jalandhar 7 September (Jaswinder Azad)- NSS unit of DAV College Jalandhar and Youth Service Club Jalandhar organised an essay writing competition. Principal Dr SK Arora opened the ceremony with a warm welcome and told everyone how important it is to participate in competition like this. It brings the best out of students and also cause social awarness on the ongoing problems of the society. Topic for essay writing competition was "What will I do for cleanliness." Near about 40 students participated in this. They shared their vibrant views in three languages i.e Hindi,Punjabi and English. Prof SK Midha Co-ordinator NSS said that competitions like this helps a person grow. It makes us learn new things about life,enviorment and society. It also encourage the raw talent to shine. Today's essay topic surely made students to think about importance of cleanliness and they will be better human being after this competition. Mrs Asha Verma Youth Co-ordinator mentioned that cleanliness is next to godliness and just like chairty begins at home, cleanliness starts by keeping clean our surroundings. Clean enviorment provides positive vibes and happy thoughts. So Go clean and green. Make our city and country beautiful. Prof SK Midha,Dr Dinesh Arora and Prof Meenu were present to grace the occasion.
