Jalandhar 24 October (Jaswinder Azad)- A welcome party for the session 2017-18 was organized by the senior students of P.G. Department of English to welcome the newly registered students of M.A English first semester at Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar. Students presented various entertainment laden activities such as modelling, dance, singing and fun games where in Pardeep Singh Samra and Manvir Cheema were adjudged as Mr. and Miss ‘Fresher’ respectively. The winners were presented with various bouquets and gifts. Principal Dr. G.S. Samra and Prof. Jasreen Kaur Head of Department, P.G. Department of English, welcomed the new students of the department and congratulated the beneficiaries of the Welcome Party. Prof. Balraj Kaur, Prof. Ahuja Sandeep, Dr. Kanchan Mehta, Dr. Charanjit Singh, Dr. Manmeet Sodhi (President English Literary Society) and other faculty members of the department also graced the occasion.
