Jalandhar 3 October (Jaswinder Azad)- The NCC Air Wing Cadets of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya brought laurels to the college by winning medals in various competitions. Cdt. Anmol Minhas of B.Sc. Comp.Sc. II won 3 Gold Medal in Flying at Pre Vayu Sainik Camp, held in NCC Academy, Ropar. She topped in all the 8 units i.e. Jalandhar, Hisar, Karnal, Ludhiana, Amritsar, Patiala, Kullu and Chandigarh. NCC Cadets also participated in combined Annual Training Camp at EMM AAR International School, Adampur. They got second position in Drill competition, second position in Cultural Event (Bhangra), first position in Kho Kho, second position in Tug of War. In addition, Cdt. Anmol got first prize for dance. Cdt. Nitika got Gold Medal for Dance, Silver Medal in 100 Mtrs. Race and Bronze Medal for 200 Mtrs Race. Cdt. Surbhi Kohli was given Sergeant Rank in the Rank Ceremony during the camp. Cadets also visited Adampur Air Force Station and got a detailed information about Mig 29 Aircraft. Some Air Wing Cadets got flying experience in new Virus Aircraft. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen congratulated the cadets of Air Wing and encouraged them to make their career in Defence Services and serve the nation. On this occasion, NCC Coordinator Dr. Rajiv Kumar, NCC Incharge Mrs. Saloni Sharma, Ms. Sonia Mohindru and Mrs. Purnima were also present.
