Jalandhar 11 November (Gurkirat Singh)- Collage Making Competition was organized under the aegis of Hindi Department of DAV College, Jalandhar. The theme of the competition was environment and festivals of India. Many students took part in this competition. On this occasion, the Principal of the College Dr. Dr. S.K. Arora motivated the students to participate in such competitions. On this occasion, Retired Principal Dr. JC Joshi told the students about the importance of literature and art and the importance of linkage between arts and literature. The role of the judges in this competition was played by Prof. Sonica and Prof. Komal Soni. Sonali (B.Sc, Economics) bagged first position, Second prize was awarded to Hemanpreet Kaur (BFST), Gagandeep Kaur (MA Hindi, second year) got third prize and promotional award was given to Shivam Kumar (10+1 arts). At the end of the program, HOD of hindi department Prof. Sandeepna Sharma thanked the guests and the jury. On this occasion, all the members of the Hindi department, Dr. Balwinder Singh, Dr. Meenu Talwar, Prof. Sanjeet were present.
