On this scheme of the college, Principal Dr. S.K Arora said, according to the statistics, the number of girls in many states of the country is degradating than boys, which is becoming a serious problem, Even girls are usually forced to give birth to boys, In such situations, their education is the only weapon that they can protect themselves and live their lives in their own way, and empowerment of women is possible only through education. Dr. Arora further said that the stereotype of thinking that inspires people against girls, such thinking is possible to destroy only through studies. Literacy and economic development are essential for the protection of girls. Education is the birthright of every Indian child, and for the protection of women and girls, the Government of India has taken many steps, from which "Education for Girls" is the most important step. To further the level of girls education, DAV College Kalpana Chawla Shagun Scheme has brought in its college, under which:-
1. The college has organized its scheme "Kalpana Chawla Shagun Scheme “Through this, the single girl child was given the full expenditure of her studies in 3100 .”
2. The College Library also gave free books to the Singles Girl Child in its program on priority under the "Book Bank Scheme".
Manpreet, who is currently studying in college, told that the college helped her financially under this ambitious scheme, Thereby, the financial burden of her Post graduation education has become light. This year many such girls will be able to benefit from the scheme in the college. Principal Arora said that this scheme has started in the college from this year and will continue in the future and the level of girls education will be carried forward in such a way and the higher education for the single girl child will be easier and the quality of their education will improve. On this occasion, Prof. Namrata, Prof. Kanika, Prof. Kunal Verma, Raj Kumar, Bhavana, Satinder Kumar, Rishab, Harman and Manmeet were also present.
