KMV Observes International Women's Day by Starting a Six-Day Workshop on Tech Empowerment of Women leaders for Women Cops
Jalandhar 8 March (Jaswinder Azad)- To celeberate the essence of empowered womanhood the PG Dept. of Computer Science & Applications and Women Studies Centre of the Heritage and Autonomous Institution –Kanya Maha Vidyalaya in collaboration with Police Commissionerate organized a six-day workshop on Tech Empowerment of women Leaders. The Chief Guest Sh. Chander Mohan, President, Arya Shiksha Mandal was accorded floral felicitations by the college authorities. Sh.Gautam Singal, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Jalandhar was the guest of Honor on the occasion. Welcoming the guests, the college Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated the commissionerate on this welcome move to train their women cops in Computer skills in different batches with the strength of 100 each. Since fast paced technology drives every sector of life today, the inclusion of skilled women force in creating tech survey mechanism can further ensure transparency in the functioning of Govt. machinery. Lauding the role of women in every walk of life Sh.Chander Mohan also stressed upon the dire need to continuously update one’s self with latest technology know how in this fast changing world where Artificial intelligence its unlimited potential is emerging .
As a challenge to human intelligence that can teach the fudicious and discretionary use of technology. The further added that being an institution of national importance, KMV shoulders a bigger responsibility of skilling it girl student not only for their empowerment but for building New India.
Sh.Gautam Singal, ADCP, Jalandhar motivated the participating cops to enhance their skills for their progressive professional career that can earn their place of respect and dignity in social life as well. He expressed his deep essence of gratitude to the college authorities and staff for extending help and coorporation in this joint endeavour of skill enhancement of women cops to ensure better service to society . Madam Principal appreciated the untiring efforts of the team of Mrs. Suman Khurana, Mrs. Seema Jain, Dr. Madhumeet and Mrs. Amarpreet Khurana.
