Jalandhar 10 March (Jaswinder Azad)- A Youth Parliament program on International Women’s Day and the concerned schemes of the Government of India was organized at Lyallpur Khalsa College in association with the Nehru Yuva Kendra, Jalandhar. Chief Guest for the program, College Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra was duly welcomed by Samson Masih, Coordinator of the Nehru Yuva Kendra. This program aimed at enlightening the youth about the various schemes and policies of the Government witnessed an enthusiastic participation of over 100 students who eloquently expressed their views on the theme of the program. Addressing the audience Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra highlighted the role of an enlightened youth in the development of a country such as India whilst also lauding the activities of the Nehru Yuva Kendra in the same sphere. Prof. Gopal Singh Buttar, Advocate Sushil Sharma, Prof. Jasvir Singh Sandhu National Awardee, Jatin Mattu, Dr. Gurpreet Singh, Jagdish Kaur and Prof. Kritika Khanna also addressed the Youth Parliament. The stage was managed by Prof. Manjinder Singh Johal and the entire proceedings were also attended by Prof. Kuldip Sodhi, S. Surinder Singh, Dr. Harsharan Singh, Dr. Nirmaljit, Prof. Amandeep Kaur and Prof. Ranjit Kaur. To conclude the program, Samson Masih presented the vote of thanks.
