Jalandhar 13 March (Jaswinder Azad)- PG Department of Commerce of Business Administration of Lyallpur Khalsa College has organised a One Day Workshop on Case Based Teaching. Resource Persons were Mr. Sidharth Sharma and Mr. Pranjal Pachore, Assistant Professor in Commerce of Business Management. Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra said that this kind of workshop is organised to provide practical knowledge to students and faculty members regarding present culture of industry exposure and its relevant practices in day to day life. Dr. Rashpal Singh Sandhu, Head Department of Commerce welcomed the guests and said that now the teaching Methodologies has been changed. The need is to go beyond the chalk and talk methodologies. Around 250 people attended the workshop including students and the faculty members of department and discussed the cases related to industry, marketing and its techniques. Both resource persons emphasized that case based teaching provides deep knowledge of subjects taught in the class as it is the base for future teaching skills.Vote of thanks was given by Prof. Amita Shahid. On this Occasion Prof. Ravneet Bains, Prof. Raminder Bhatia, Dr. Patwant Atwal, Dr. Gurpreet Singh and all other faculty members were also present. Stage was conducted by Prof. Mansi Chopra and Prof. Kritika Khanna.
