Jalandhar 31 March (Jaswinder Azad)- The occasion of National Science Day 2018 was celebrated today at Lyallpur Khalsa College through an impressive collaboration by the Science Departments of the college in association with the Punjab State Council for Science and Technology. Dr. Narpinder Singh, Research Director Guru Nanak Dev University was the Chief Guest for the program and he was duly welcomed to the college with a bouquet by Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra, Dr. Balwinder Singh Chahal, Prof. Arunjit Kaur and Dr. Gagandeep Kaur. Chief Guest Dr. Narpinder Singh delivered a highly informative lecture on the subject of Science and Technology for a Sustainable Future. Around 150 students from various colleges of the region participated in events such as Quiz, Poster Making, Scientific Rangoli and Power Point Presentations. Speaking on the occasion, College Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra encouraged the students to put their best foot forward in the field of Science which is receiving proper backing from Universities and Governments. Prize winning students were also honoured from the stage which was managed by Dr. Amanpreet Kaur Sandhu. The occasion was also witnessed by Dr. Santokh Singh Minhas, Dr. Rajnish Moudgil, Dr. Gitanjali Kaushal, Dr. Amritpal Singh and Dr. Navneet Arora.
