Jalandhar 20 April (Jaswinder Azad)- An impressive function concerning Ujjwala Panchayat was organized by PK Gas Service, Defence Colony to mark the ‘Ujjwala Diwas’ at Gita Mandir, Garha. Sardarni Balbir Kaur congratulated all the women who were granted connections as per this scheme and informed about the various uses and advantages of the subject in question. It was also duly mentioned that the Ujjwala Scheme would be extremely beneficial for needy people of the region. Councilor Prabh Dyal Bhagat, Former Councilor Vijay Dakoha, Councilor Neerja Jain, Councilor Rajinder Kumar Juneja and Senior Congressman Hukam Chan Sonkar and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion that saw the dispersion of Gas Connections to families below the poverty line highlighting the basic purpose of the program.
