Jalandhar 24 April (Jaswinder Azad)- The students of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya held a Peace March under the aegis of ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ campaign of District Administration. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen welcomed ADC (General) Jasvir Singh with a planter. Career Guidance Counsellor Surjit Lal and Distt. Counsellor Ashok Kumar were also present. The Peace March started from HMV campus and via HMV Chowk, it concluded at campus only. The march was a peaceful one. 400 students of college participated in Peace March. The students were holding banners of ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ in their hands. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen said that girl education is the need of the hour to give them holistic growth. On this occasion, Coordinator Mrs. Meenakshi Syal, Dr. Rajiv Kumar, members of teaching and non-teaching staff were also present.
