Jalandhar 10 May (Jaswinder Azad)- Principal Dr. Kiran Arora of PCM S.D. College for Women, a premier educational institution of North India for girls, Re-accredited with A+ grade by NAAC told about the huge amount of scholarships and concessions given to the new entrants in the college. Students standing 1st in the University exams in different in different streams will be awarded 'Satya Prem Award' 24 Carat Gold Pure Gold Medal, Freeship to students above 90% marks in lower examination, Rs. 6000 concession to students securing 60-90 % marks, Rs. 4000 to students securing 81 to 85% marks and Rs. 2000 to students securing 76 to 80 % marks. Students achieving II position in University will get Rs. 10,000/- concession and II and III and IV position holders in university will also get concession of Rs. 8000/- and 5000/- respectively. Shri Parmode Chand Markanda, Secretary, Governing Body of the college will also give total freeship to one meritorious student. Apart from this students are also given post matric scholarship as per govt norms, concession to single parent child, physically challenged, only girl child, students achieving excellence in extra-curricular activities sports - women are also provided to the students. She also mentioned that during the last session financial aid of Rs. 20 lakhs was dispersed to the economically weaker students.
