Jalandhar 8 May (Jaswinder Azad)- "The result of MSc Chemistry Samester 1 of DAV College, Jalandhar was excellent, Kanika and Amanpreet of the college bagged first two university positions in the examination conducted by the University." The Post Graduate department of Chemistry bought laurels to the institution by outperforming in the Guru Nanak Dev university examinations. DAV secured first two position in the university in MSC Chemistry semester 1 examination, where Kanika Sharma topped by scoring 391/450 and secured first position in the university merit list and Amanpreet Kaur stood second in the university by scoring 366/450 marks. Both paid heartfelt gratitude to their teachers and parents and said with classroom learning, self study and support of the family nobody can stop us from excelling.
University topper Kanika Sharma quoted I can’t express how happy i am to know i have surpassed all my expectations. To be able to achieve the academic position i would fairly give all the credits to my parents who have been always encouraging and have dedicated for my success. I have scored 86.9% in my semester first exam.
On her glorious achievement, Amanpreet thanked her teachers and said, they had been a strong support and helped her making the logics completely understandable. Lastly she said, she would like to thanks the college faculty of the department who had continuously challenged her mind and made her step outside her comfort zone.
Principal of DAV College, Prof. Dr. S.K. Arora, giving best wishes, said, "I am proud of you. The Chemistry Department is the best, visionary, creative and intellectual department and I congratulate all the students, teachers and their families on this wonderful achievement. Our college has always been providing a studious environment to the students. Dedicated and diligent students have always been getting all the help from college and they will continue to get ahead."
HOD of Chemistry Department, Prof. Chander K Sikka congratulated Kanika and Amanpreet and teachers for such results. He said that it is a matter of pride for us. It was our priority to create interest of Chemistry subjects in students, for which we did not compromise on the education of children.
