02 NOTORIOUS ROBBERS ARRESTED BY THE POLICE OF CIA-II, DISTT. JALANDHAR (RURAL) AND RECOVERED 02 PISTOLS, 07 LIVE CARTRIDGES AND 01 VERNA CAR

Jalandhar 2 August (Jaswinder Azad)- On the directions issued by Sh. Naunihal Singh, IPS, Inspector General of Police, Jalandhar Range, Jalandhar, Sh. Navjot Singh Mahal, PPS, Senior Superintendent of Police, Jalandhar (Rural) and on the guidelines issued by Sh. Balkar Singh, PPS, SP/Investigation and Sh. Balwinder Iqbal Singh, PPS, DSP/Headquarters, a special drive has been launched against narcotic smugglers and anti social elements.  The Jalandhar police received a major success when Inspr. Shiv Kumar, In-charge CIA-2 alongwith police party nabbed 02 notorious robbers, who were specialized in committing robberies and snatchings at gun point.
While addressing the press media, Sh. Navjot Singh Mahal, PPS, Senior Superintendent of Police, Jalandhar (Rural) intimated that on receipt of a secret information  Inspr. Shiv Kumar, In-charge CIA-2 alongwith police party arrested 02 notorious robbers namely Sandip Singh @ Rimpa (Aged about 40 years) s/o Amarjit Singh r/o village Sunar Kalan, PS Nurmehal, district Jalandhar (Rural) and Tirath Ram @ Tirath (Aged about 33 years) s/o Sukhjit Lal r/o Bajuha Khurd, PS Sadar Nakodar, district Jalandhar (Rural) and recovered 02 Pistols alongwith 05 live cartridges and 01 Verna Car bearing registration No. PB-08-BE-0065 from them.  In this regard case FIR No. 150 dated 02-08-2018 u/s 379-B/392/395 IPC, 25 Arms Act has been registered in PS Kartarpur, district Jalandhar (Rural).

3.    Verna Car            : 01 Bearing Registration No. No. PB-08-BE-0065
During preliminary investigation, it was revealed that accused Sandip Singh @ Rimpa alongwith gangs of Bhinda Ruby Shadipuria and Gopi Dallewal use commit robberies and snatchings and he also even fired at Gopi Dallewal, who absconded from jail.  He has a criminal past. About 33 cases of various sections  were registered against him in district Jalandhar (Rural), Hoshiarpur, Moga, Ludhiana, Sangrur, Khanna and SBS Nagar.
