KMV contributes a truck load of relief material to Kerala relief fund

Jalandhar 30 August (Gurkirat Singh)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- the Heritage and Autonomous Institution, Jalandhar in a heartening show of empathy joined relief operation for the flood affected people in Kerala. A truck load of relief material containing 3000 blankets, clothes, shoes, linens, soaps, sanitary napkins, bed-sheets, baby diapers, personal hygiene items, sleeping mats, towels and various consumable items like rice, wheat, refined oil, sugar, tea, toothpaste, brush, combs and other important things for the flood victims were contributed by the college. College teachers as well as students under the leadership of Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi collaborated together for this contribution. All the relief items were handed over to Deputy Commissioner, Jalandhar Mr. Varinder Kumar by the college Principal along with the members of the Student Welfare Department at the Red Cross Bhawan, Jalandhar. Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi emphasized that in this time of crisis we should all understand our responsibilities and should stand together for the people who are facing major crises in Kerala. On this occasion, Madam Principal lauded the efforts done by the Dean Student Welfare Dr. Madhumeet, Smt. Rashmi Sharma, Ms. Sadhna Tondon, Dr. Manju, Dr. Neetu Chopra, Mr. Pardeep Arora, Ms. Amarjot, Ms. Gurleen, Ms. Dilpreet, Ms. Aarushi and the members of the Student Council.
