- 103 students from five states compete in Jalandhar Dancing Star at CT
- Mrs. Asia Earth 2017 Neeti Dhawan remains Chief Guest
Jalandhar 24 August (Gurkirat Singh)- It was a moment of thrill and tough competition when the stage of Sardarni Manjit Kaur Auditorium was set on fire by the breathtaking dance performances of 54 finalists of “Jalandhar Dancing Star”- a dance competition organised by CT Group of Institutions and Soul Shakerz Academy at CT Group of Insitutions, Shahpur campus. 103 contestants from five different states namely Punjab, Delhi, Uttrakhand, Himachal Pradesh, and Jammu gave the auditions. Out of which, 54 contestants competed in the finale of the event, under three different categories which are 6-12 years, 12-18 years and 18-24 years. The Chief Guest of the occasion was Mrs. Asia Earth 2017 Ms. Neeti Dhawan and the competition was adjudged by renowned personalities namely Mr. Rajan Aujla, International Bhangra Player, Ms. Ashley Kaureen, fitness model from Chandigarh, Ms. Sonika Chauhan, Pollywood actress and classical dancer and Ms. Prabhjot Kaur, Classical dancer. On the occasion, “Dheeyan Punjab Diyan” fame Sallan Sisters also gave their mesmerizing singing performance. The top three winners of the category 6-12 years remained Bhavish, Harsimar Kaur and Prabhdeep Singh whereas winners of the category 12-18 are Gloria Lokhande (First), Kirandeep Kaur (Second) and Rishab (Third) and of the category 18-24, the first prize was bagged by Sagar, second by Anil Kaler and Davinder Singh, third. All the contestants gave a tough competition to each other under their respective categories. Rajan Aujla, one of the judges said, “It was a wonderful event organised in which participants performed extremely well. It became so confusing for us to select the top three winners of each category.” Mr. Manbir Singh, Managing Director, CT Group of Institutions said, “I congratulate all the winners and rest of the participants who made this event a grand success today. It was a pleasure to see participants coming from outside Punjab too in order to compete. I also thank the Chief Guest and judges for sparing their time and giving a fair judgment. I wish luck to the organizing team as well and wish to see similar big level events in the future too.” On the occasion, S. Charanjit S Channi, Chairman, Mr. Harpreet Singh, Vice-Chairman, Ms. Tanika Singh, Ms. Seerat Singh, Dr. Inderjeet Singh, Ex-Registrar, GNDU, Ms. Pooja Singh from New Image Beauty Academy, Mr. Davinder Singh, Cultural Officer, CT Group and others were also present.
