GNDU has extended the tenure of Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh Randhawa by one year

Jalandhar 22 June (Jaswinder Azad)- The Syndicate, Guru Nanak Dev University, on the recommendation of the selection committee has extended the tenure of Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh Randhawa by one year and in addition to this, he has also been handed over the responsibility of the newly established University College at Nakodar. 
Dr. Randhawa has been successfully carrying the reins of the college for the past three years and has also served as the Principal of Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar and Sikh National College, Banga prior to his service here at GNDU College, Jalandhar. Dr. Randhawa has been associated with Higher Education for the past forty years and during this time he has also served many academic bodies and college teachers’ organisation P.G.C.T.U as well. At present, he is a member of Sikh Educational Society.
Dr. Randhawa thanked Vice-Chancellor Dr. Ajaib Singh Brar for the appointment as the Principal of both the colleges and accepted the responsibility of the newly established constituent college at Nakodar as a challenge. He said that the prime focus would remain to provide the youth of the rural areas with the opportunity of higher education and in future, more vocational courses would be introduced for the students to meet the emerging needs of the present time.
