Jalandhar 26 August (Jaswinder Azad)- The 15 day cleanliness drive organized under Swatchh Bharat Abhiyan culminated here at Lyallpur Khalsa College today. Organised by the Social Sensitization Club of the college, the drive focused on sensitizing students towards the importance of cleanliness and sanitation in the neighbourhood. A special programme was organized on the last day of the drive in which support staff members participating in the drive were honoured by the college principal Dr. G.S. Samra and Prof. Amita Shahid, Incharge of the club. Students who participated in Rangoli and poster making programmes organised in this context were also honored on the occasion. Speaking to the present, the College Principal Dr. G.S. Samra said that ensuring the betterment of the society was the responsibility of all the citizens and realization of this responsibility was the most needed thing for the progress and success of any society. The occasion witnessed the presence of the members of the club and students in large numbers. The stage on the occasion was managed by Nidhi Kaushal, a student of the college.
