Jalandhar 26 August (Jaswinder Azad)- At Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- The Heritage Institution, Jalandhar is as much progressive & futuristic as it is associated with its traditions deep-seated in its roots. A fine example of this is the ‘The Talent Hunt Show’ organized by the Department of ECA every year. The show allows students of exhibit their skills in a wide variety of avenues like Quiz, Fine Arts, Photography, Literary Competitions, Music, Embroidery & et all. This year more than 500 students participated in the various competitions held during a full week from 20th August to 26th August. The results are as follows. In Landscape Arshdeep stood 1st & Davinder 2nd, Gurpreet was first in Cartooning and Sukhleen 2nd. In Clay modelling Palakdeep Kaur was adjudged 1st & Ramandeep 2nd, while in Poster Making Harman & Lovepreet Kaur stood 1st & 2nd respectively. In the Photography Competition Khushdeep stood 1st & Mansi 2nd. In the neck to neck Quiz competition Satbeer Kaur stood 1st & Shivani 2nd. In the Literary items Anmol & Palak jointly won the debate competition while Shweta stood 2nd. Palak also won the 1st prize in Declamation jointly with Manmeet. The poetical recitation competition winners were Anmol 1st & Mansi 2nd. The Dept. of Home Science held the flower arrangement competition which was won by Rinkle while Manpreet stood 2nd. The Rangoli Competition was held by the Department of Fine Arts in which Kulwinder Kaur stood 1st while Lovepreet Kaur stood 2nd. The winners will all be honoured during the Gala Talent Hunt event. Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi complimented the Department of ECA for organizing such competitions which encourage students to exhibit their talent and add to their oral personality to improve their bearing.
