Jalandhar 20 August (Jaswinder Azad)- Lyallpur Khalsa College has continued its winning run in the field of Sports by bagging first and second ranks respectively in the events of Rowing and Canoeing in the Inter College Water Games tournament organized by Guru Nanak Dev University at Talwara Pong Dam. College Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra congratulated the victorious students with their coach Amandeep Singh and attributed this success to the honest efforts of Late S.Balbir Singh, ex-president Governing Council. Dr. Samra also appreciated the encouragement provided by Sardarni Balbir Kaur President Governing Council which is a key factor behind such landmark successes. It was also mentioned that the College has already won the prestigious Sardar Teja Singh Samundari Overall General Championship Sports Trophy of Guru Nanak Dev University Amritsar for the record 14th time with a total of 22440 points. He further added that the College also holds the proud distinction of being re-accredited with 'A' grade with a high 3-74 CGPA score on 4 point scale by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) alongwith the Prestigious 'Potential for Excellence Award', which highlights the excelling in academics as well as Sports. The college management vowed to continue and further enhance the various facilities that are being given to its budding Sportsmen. Sardarni Balbir Kaur President Governing Council and Dr. Jaspal Singh, HOD Physical Education congratulated the victorious sports party.
